Tamil Composer-Actor Vijay Antony’s Daughter Meera Dies By SUICIDE At The Age Of 16; Netizens Extend Support And Condolances
Tamil composer, actor and filmmaker Vijay Antony’s 16-year-old daughter Meera has left for her heavenly abode. She passed away after committing suicide on September 19. According to a report by Bollywood Life, she was found hanging in her bedroom at 3 am in their apartment in their Alwarpet residence by the househelp. Netizens have taken to their social media handles to express their grief and offer heartfelt condolences to the grieving family.

As per the report by the entertainment publication, Meera was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Chennai. She was declared dead on arrival after the doctors examined her. If reports are to be believed she was undergoing treatment as she was suffering from clinical depression. She was a student at a popular school in the city and was appearing for the 12th boards this year. The Tamil entertainment industry and netizens are in shock of her untimely demise. Many are even left wondering what could have happened with her moments before she decide to commit suicide.




For the unversed, Vijay had recently opened up about the battle of depression in teenagers and how the kids are pressured into getting good grades. He had even urged the parents to be more understanding of their children and to give them a much needed space.

Talking about Vijay, he had tied the knot with Fathima Vijay Antony in 2006. Apart from being a renowned music composer and an actor, the couple also managed their own production house. They lived in Alwarpet in Chennai with their two daughters, Meera and Laara. The family is currently reeling from the passing of the elder daughter. We extend our heartfelt condolences.
